THANKS to everyone who supported my participation! Shatterproof is a new approach to fighting addiction starting at the causes. I’ve been fortunate to not have to face this myself or in my family, but I know it’s a problem we all need to solve. I was glad to help. Find out more at www.Shatterproof.org.
Up on the roof
26 stories up and looking over the City. I had just gotten into a mock-up of the set-up so I could learn how to lower myself all the way back down.
Over the edge with me
The good folks led me over the edge for the descent.
The anxious moment!
Forgetting all about Shatterproof, Scenius, and concentrating on survival! It’s all good…
What a view!
Down I go. Nothing like a high-altitude view. It rained that morning, but the afternoon was beautiful!
That’s me from below.
Pretty amazing to see that after I looked at the video Eva shot as I started off.
Stuck. Hmmm…
The equipment is designed to stop if you descend too quickly. Oh, well, no commando action. I got stuck a few times. They have to lift me up a bit, then I can release the back-up pulley.
Next!
There were 96 of us. Here comes the next person.
Almost there!
Now I can remember why I did this.
Thanks all!
Supporters, and crew. It was fantastic. Glad to help out the Shatterproof mission! (And Thanks Josh at Work Hard Pittsburgh for the GoPro!)
Together, we all raised $1100!
